Human Resource Officer
WaterAid Nepal is hiring a Human Resource Officer to support hiring, onboarding, staff wellbeing, and organizational administration. The position will also assist the Country Director and promote a positive workplace.

WaterAid Nepal is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Officer to join its People and Organizational Development (POD) team. The selected candidate will handle tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, staff engagement, office administration, and safeguarding. This position also provides secretarial assistance to the Country Director.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Kathmandu. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate alignment with WaterAid’s core values: Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity, and Innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development processes
- Organize regular staff check-in meetings to support engagement
- Manage staff insurance, wellness initiatives, and related documentation
- Draft memos, meeting minutes, and internal reports
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Country Director
Eligibility to apply
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or an equivalent field
Experience:
- At least three years of experience in human resources, preferably within the international non-governmental organization sector
- Familiarity with administrative procedures, filing systems, and clerical tasks
Skills Required:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Excellent organization and time management
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to manage administrative records and human resource workflows
Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience in managing staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives
- Exposure to working in diverse, multicultural, or matrix-style organizations
- Knowledge of implementing Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles in human resource processes
