Impact Evaluation and Learning Manager

ActionAid Nepal is looking for an experienced Impact Evaluation and Learning Manager to lead planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems that strengthen its social justice programs.

ActionAid Nepal is hiring an Impact Evaluation and Learning Manager (IELM) to lead its monitoring, evaluation, and learning work. The IELM will improve how the organization tracks results and learns from its programs, ensuring alignment with ActionAid’s Country Strategy Paper and the Accountability Learning and Planning System (ALPS).

This role focuses on building strong systems, using data to guide decisions, and promoting a culture of continuous learning. The manager will also support partners in strengthening their own monitoring and evaluation systems and make sure everything aligns with donor requirements and national laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement result-based MEL frameworks that support the country strategy
• Manage and analyze data to help improve programs
• Train and guide staff and partner organizations in MEL practices
• Maintain digital platforms for tracking results and learning
• Ensure MEL activities meet donor and policy standards
• Lead learning sessions and promote new evaluation ideas
• Support key institutional areas like feminist leadership and safeguarding

Eligibility to apply

Education:

• Master’s degree in Social Science or a related field from a recognized university

Experience:

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant work experience
• At least 3–4 years in a similar role

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in MEL methodologies
• Proficiency with digital tools and data protection
• Statistical analysis and data visualization skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali
• Experience in donor reporting and quality assurance
• Budget management and strategic planning
• Knowledge of HRBA and safeguarding policies

Preferred Knowledge:

• Familiarity with Nepal's development and social context
• Experience working with multicultural teams
