The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Nepal invites qualified agencies to submit proposals for a regional consultancy on creating healthy environments for healthy children across South Asia. This consultancy is issued under the Long-Term Arrangement for Services (LRPS-2025-9197718).

UNICEF works to advance children’s rights and well-being around the world. This regional initiative supports UNICEF’s broader environmental health priorities in the South Asia region.

Scope of Work

The selected agency will provide strategic technical support across South Asia, helping assess, design, and implement healthier environmental solutions for child well-being.

Specific Deliverables/Requirements

  • Review and assess child-focused environmental conditions across South Asia
  • Design region-specific solutions and implementation plans
  • Provide technical inputs, research, and reports as outlined in the Terms of Reference
  • Participate in coordination meetings and partner consultations
  • Submit finalized reports, materials, and deliverables as per UNICEF timelines

Key Responsibilities

The consulting agency will support the development and implementation of healthy environmental strategies for children.

  • Conduct research and regional analysis
  • Engage with regional partners and stakeholders
  • Produce detailed documentation and strategic recommendations

Qualifications and Experience

Eligible applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in public health, environmental sustainability, or child-focused development in the South Asian context.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in regional or multi-country consultancy projects
  • Background in environmental science, child health, or public policy
  • Strong research, analytical, and report writing capabilities

Team Expertise

The team should include professionals with the following skills:

  • Lead Consultant: Public health/environmental expertise
  • Technical Specialist: Child health and development
  • Regional Advisor: Cross-border coordination and policy experience

Submission Details

Proposals must be submitted via email to [email protected] in PDF format. Submissions must be signed, stamped, and include the bid number and title in the subject line. Submissions sent to other email addresses will be considered invalid.

Deadline for submission is June 20, 2025, at midnight NST. Late submissions will not be considered.

A virtual pre-bid meeting will be held at 3:00 pm NST on June 5, 2025.

UNICEF Nepal will shortlist and evaluate proposals based on the submitted documents. Only selected applicants will be contacted. UNICEF reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
